Blog Tour: The Warning by Kathryn Croft @bookouture

review:

I’m very happy to be on the blog tour for Kat Croft’s latest psychological thriller, The Warning! I’ve read several of her other books and really enjoyed them so I was so excited to read her latest! Thank you to Bookouture for the invitation.

Zoe and Jake lost their son in a tragic accident three years ago. Suddenly, Zoe stats receiving cryptic messages – what really happened that night? Was it truly an accident? Who is behind these messages?

Zoe opens old wounds and begins her own investigation to try to figure out what happened that night. She has to push through her grief in order to shuffle the pieces of the puzzle to make it all fit. She unearths many truths that the police investigation missed and unravels a mystery that only she can solve.

Kat Croft has woven a deep psychological thriller with several twists and turns that will have you scratching your head and trying to figure out what really happened that night at the river, with a shocker of a reveal.

Thank you to Bookouture for my advance copy. This book is now available!

synopsis:

My little boy’s room was empty, his bed neatly made. Alarm bells should have rung immediately. Then the knock on the door came. All I remember is a thick fog wrapping itself tightly around me. This couldn’t be happening to us.

Three years ago, nurse Zoe’s son Ethan was found drowned in a muddy river by their home, along with his best friend Josh. With no witnesses, their deaths were ruled a tragic accident.

Heartbroken, Zoe and her family, move away from her home. They’re just beginning to get back to some kind of normality, when, out of the blue, Zoe receives an anonymous email:

You need to find out the truth about what happened to your son. Don’t let this rest. Don’t believe the lie.

Shaken, Zoe starts an obsessive hunt for the truth. But why is her husband so reluctant to help? And why is Josh’s mother so determined not to believe her?
