Book Description

Enoch Weber (ca. 1725-1806) was born at Dorfschaft Gartig in the Palatinate, and immigrated to America in 1751. He settled in Hamilton, Northampton (now Monroe) Pennsylvania. He married twice and was the father of at least six children, born 1756-1768. Descendants of his son, Johann Adam Weber (1757?-1833), to ca. 1856, lived in Pennsylvania and elsewhere. Some descendants spelled their surname Weaver.

The Apple family of Pennsylvania and Ohio. Johannes Apple (ca. 1752-1823) was possibly born in Pennsylvania. In 1774 he married Catharine Weber (1756-ca. 1829), daughter of Enoch and Elisabeth Weber. They were the parents of seven children: Anna Maria (ca. 1775-1800), Henrich (ca. 1778-1852), Catharina Elisabeth (1780-1807), John, Jr. (ca. 1782-1861), Anna Margaretha Elisabeth (1784-1834), Jabob (1786- 1854), and Elisabeth (ca. 1790-1851). Many of these children were born in Berks Co., Pennsylvania.




Kohl (Cole) Family History


Book Description

George Kohl Jr., son of George (Georg) Kohl and Catharine, was born 10 Jan 1759 in Cumru Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. He married Maria Gretha Bunsh, daughter of Thomas Bunsh/Punch and Maria (Molly), on 24 Aug 1780. They had 8 children. George died intestate about 28 Feb 1824 in Cumru Township, Berks, Pennsylvania. Maria died 28 Mar 1832. Their descendants have lived in Pennsylvania, Illinois, Oklahoma, Iowa, Utah, Wisconsin, and other areas in the United States.
