The three books by the Aqua Group, Tenders and Contracts, Pre-Contract Practice and Contract Administration, have long been established as standard works on good practice for the building team as well as students. The first in the series, Tenders and Contracts for Building, examines the wide range of tendering procedures and contractual arrangements now available to clients in addition to traditional competitive tendering. It discusses the different circumstances dictating the choice of both tendering procedures and contractual arrangements and discusses their advantages and disadvantages. The new edition has been revised to take into account the CDM Regulations and contractual changes introduced by the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act. The chapters on management and construction management contracts and on design and build contracts have been considerably revised, and for the first time there is a chapter on partnering. The authors are a group of architects and quantity surveyors with experience in private practice and local government. From the Chartered Quantity Surveyor: These publications by The Aqua Group are absolutely essential reading for the young architect, civil engineer and QS.

Kazuma's first winter in another world isn't going so well. With companions like Aqua (Arch-priest), Megumin (Arch-wizard), and Darkness (Crusader), his party of advanced classes should be the most powerful in Axel--but they're so dysfunctional, even the easiest-seeming quest goes terribly awry, and they can barely save enough to afford a stable! When an opportunity arises to stay in a mansion, it's like a dream come true--the only catch is that they have to exorcise the evil spirits haunting it. Goddess Aqua is an expert with the undead, so the quest should be a piece of cake, right...? Unfortunately, with this useless goddess, things have a way of working out for the worst...

For almost a millennium, a modest wooden ship lay underwater off the coast of Serçe Limani, Turkey, filled with evidence of trade and objects of daily life. The ship, now excavated by the Institute of Nautical Archaeology at Texas A&M University, trafficked in both the Byzantine and Islamic worlds of its time. Known as "the Glass Wreck," it bore cargo that included three metric tons of glass cullet, including broken Islamic vessels and eighty pieces of intact glassware, along with various artifacts of ship life. This second volume of the discovery’s investigation focuses on the excavation, conservation, and study of the glass found in the wreckage. The extensive catalog will be a valuable tool for archaeologists and scholars of Islamic glass and Islamic trade. Further, the systematic methodology and presentation of such a large undertaking will serve as a model for future study across many disciplines.
