An Encounter with Life- as it is

Book Description

An encounter with life- as it is-what happened when I met Life for the first time in silence-no words, no grammar, no boundaries, no inhibitions, no fear. I am sharing my experience, which I accumulated from a sacred communication with God; within me. This can happen to you too. My expertise lies in communication. How to communicate volumes in brief? Keeping the grace intact. These communications need words to convey your thoughts. Your plan for your future with your audience. But to listen to the real communication, that is already happening inside you between you and God, you need to be silent. This is possible when you are free of ego, desire, anger, and jealousy. When all the worldly things you possess are dropped. When you enter the stage of no words, no thoughts. When you are completely stripped of your borrowed knowledge from-other. Your university, your Gurus, your religion. When there is absolutely nothing inside you. When you are silent within. In that state of nothingness, complete silence within you, a cosmic, sacred nectar of knowledge may explode inside you. And, when this sacred explosion of knowledge explodes, for god's sake, do not start thinking about your family or your future. When this cosmic, sacred explosion of knowledge explodes inside you, stay there with the explosion. Float with this sacred explosion. Become a witness to this sacred explosion. You may see a sacred light within you. God is within you. I am not a philosopher. I am not a guide. I am certainly not a mascot. I am your extension. I am another you. I am as old as the mountains. I am as fresh as Morning Breeze.

Shakuntala

Book Description

This book is an English translation of the Sanskrit classic Play Abhijnan Shakuntalam by the great poet and Playwright Mahakavi Kalidas, written around 220 CE. The play is about the strange fate of Shakuntala, a simple, beautiful ascetic lady. King Dushyant meets her and falls in love with her. They get married. After some time, king Dushyant returns to his capital, assuring her that he would soon send for her. However, due to the curse by a wrathful sage, Durvasa, the king completely forgets about her. Humiliated, Shakuntala goes off into the forest to live by herself. In due course, she gives birth to a boy, whom she names Bharat. Fortuitously, following certain turns of events, Durvasas curse is removed, and the king remembers all about Shakuntala. He tries to find her, but of no avail. One day, he accidentally meets the young boy, Bharat, in the forest. The family is thus united and happily returns to the capital. Bharat grows up to become a great emperor. The original name of India is Bhaarat after his name. Rama, worshipped by Hindus all over the world as an Incarnation of God, was a descendent (some 6000-7000 years ago) of emperor Bharat.

Waves Within

Book Description

“I am very happy and proud for the spiritual progress of my student. The sharpness and maturity in her writing, the purity of her thoughts and the ability to explain the depth of various topics, has amazed me greatly. Her insightful writing has touched various aspects of human minds and demonstrated the natural expressions of human qualities, through everyday events. On the other hand, her inner light has kindled a journey within, in search of self. Best of Luck.” - Shubhada Rahalkar Head of the Department, Department of Zoology, GDC Bilaspur (CG) “I have known Shashi from 2012 as a blog writer in Speaking Tree. Her forthright, honest and upfront posts on what needs to change in the world and how to go about it always won many hearts. She is regular on the top of the list of ‘most read’ blogs; her comments appearing in Local newspaper and quoted by other people as well. Shashi is a vigilante in real sense of what the world truly needs not a days. She is quick to note any wrong doings, and take action. Shashi also makes sure that the people around her are well informed. I have never met Shashi, however as it is said nowadays a virtual friend is as close to us as a real friend. She speaks softly, listens intently, suggests rationally and writes with heart. Her posts reflect her ability to pick everyday incidents that are narrated as a story that becomes alive on the piece of paper. I wish her book all the success and hope that it reaches far and wide corners of the world. I wish it be read by as many people as possibly can. Thanks.” - Alka Rhode Auckland, New Zealand
