The immigrant ancestor Johannes (Jacob) Schwab (1720-1785) was born in Germany, and came to America on the ship "Halifax" arriving in Philadelphia, Pa. in 1754. In 1760/61 he appears as a renter on the Heidelberg Twp., Berks Co., Pa. tax list. He appears on the Bethel Twp. tax list from 1762 until his death in 1785.
