How To Be Born Again

Book Description

Man has a problem and God has an answer in Christ. How the do we respond? Dr. Graham gives the answer in simple, direct, and dynamic language. But he does not stop with the moment of the new birth, for newborns have a lot of growing to do. Here also is essential guidance to take them further, for they can scarcely realize so soon the potential of the new power God can release from deep within them. How to Be Born Again is at once universal and personal, for the new Christian and for the Christian along the way – an irresistible primer for finding salvation, a guidebook for continuing growth.

Anti-Matter

Book Description

Yes there is Anti-Matter, too much in fact, and there’s a little bit of it everywhere. Anti-Matter the opposite type of matter that we know and use every day. Whenever Anti-Matter comes into contact with the normal matter that is part of us all, it annihilates all probability of the continued path we’re on and sends us down an alternative path. I also believe that right now, we here on the Earth are traveling through a hugely unusual cloud of this stuff. How do I know that? Because, everything going on in our evolution is an ‘opposite’ reality. We should be enjoying the greatest brotherhood of mankind ever, with Love and Peace and prosperity being proclaimed everywhere. Instead, we’re killing each other in record numbers. Hate fills the media. Governments have all failed us. Discord and chaos rule us. And, it is my theory that we went off into this anti-matter induced, alternate universe when John Kennedy was assassinated and Lyndon Johnson became the President, who decided to go and slaughter millions of innocent people in Viet Nam and then Richard (Tricky Dick) Nixon became President and he expanded the war into Cambodia and neither of these men went to jail. This was the start of the Bizarro Universe for me. I noticed the moment we went down this evil path because the Beatles were pulling us all in the right direction, but the Gravity of these evil minds led us down the wrong path. There’s book about this theory, great Science Fiction that everyone must read. Get your copy today.

Sunday School Sins

Book Description

Sunday school teaching is a perverse affair. Many teachers hide the origins of Christianity behind miraculous stories because they fear that telling what really occurred would attract no one. Of course, some teachers have only the stories because they teach a subject they do not know. These people do wrong or, theologically speaking, they sin. As a corrective, Sunday School Sins presents a humorous romp through early Christianity. The book details the origins of the faith, presenting in an entertaining fashion what scholars have known and have been writing about in academic journals for the last two hundred years.

American Independent Cinema

Book Description

The American independent sector has attracted much attention in recent years, an upsurge of academic work on the subject being accompanied by wider public debate. But many questions remain about how exactly independence should be defined and how its relationship might be understood with other parts of the cinematic landscape, most notably the Hollywood studios. Edited and written by leading authors in the field, American Independent Cinema: indie, indiewood and beyond offers an examination of the field through four sections that range in focus from broad definitions to close focus on particular manifestations of independence. A wide variety of examples are included but within a framework that offers insights into how these are related to one another. More specifically this collection offers: an account of recent developments as well as reviewing, reassessing and revising a number of central positions, approaches and arguments relating to various parts of the independent and/or indie sector. Individual case studies that range from the distinctive qualities of the work of established ‘quality’ filmmakers such as Wes Anderson, Steven Soderbergh and Rebecca Miller to studies of horror genre production at the more ‘disreputable’ end of the independent spectrum. Examples of the limits of independence available in some cases within Hollywood, including studies of the work of Stanley Kubrick and Hal Ashby. Case studies of under-researched areas in the margins of American independent cinema, including the Disney nature films and Christian evangelical filmmaking. A number of wider overview chapters that examine contemporary American independent cinema from a number of perspectives. Together, the chapters in the collection offer a unique contribution to the study of independent film in the United States. Contributors: Warren Buckland, Philip Drake, Mark Gallagher, Geoff King, Peter Krämer, Novotny Lawrence, James MacDowell, Claire Molloy, Michael Z.
