In accordance with our agreement, we are pleased to submit the secondary preliminary report upon the Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Carpentersville. This report presents plans for the future development of Carpentersville including recommendation for land use, transportation, community facilities, business areas and utilities. It also includes a capital improvement program and suggests methods for implementing the plan. We wish to acknowledge the cooperation of School District No. 300, the Carpentersville and Countryside Fire Protection District, the Dundee Township Park District and the Dundee Township Library District, in addition to the members of the Village staff. We also wish to acknowledge the insights and assistance given by the Village Plan Commission and other interested residents during the preparation of this report. Now that the plan is ready for presentation, the Village is able to proceed with public hearings on the Comprehensive Plan, and hopefully, to move forward with its implentation.
