Book Description
Five Corners is a tragic love story between fifteen-year-old Casey and her new-found love Travis. Casey has been brought up in a very rigid religious environment. Her natural personality is very extroverted but subdued by her family and schooling. As time introduces new forces into her life, she finds herself developing very quickly and beyond her chronological years. The turning point in Casey's life is the arrival of Travis. A true relationship is born between this young inexperienced girl and an older man who is already exposed to the mature ways of the world. A definite parallel is created between the meeting place Five Corners and the struggles in Casey's life that play an intricate part in her new found relationship with Travis. The story develops a joyous but dangerous mood as family and friends involve themselves in this new relationship. One factor that neither Casey nor Travis ever considers in their lives inevitably determines the rest of the story. Although a strong bond develops between these two people, fate changes an entire world for them both, very quickly and very permanently. This story is written with strong emotions, convictions and caring which develop a maturing process for two young people in love and also for some adults who play an important role in their lives.
