Guided by an alien , the young astronaut delves into uncharted dimensions, encountering civilizations that have harnessed the potential of collective consciousness. Together, they venture into realms where thoughts meld, intentions coalesce, and a harmonious symphony of mind.

Edge of the Universe

Book Description

An accessible look at the mysteries that lurk at the edge of the known universe and beyond The observable universe, the part we can see with telescopes, is incredibly vast. Yet recent theories suggest that there is far more to the universe than what our instruments record—in fact, it could be infinite. Colossal flows of galaxies, large empty regions called voids, and other unexplained phenomena offer clues that our own "bubble universe" could be part of a greater realm called the multiverse. How big is the observable universe? What it is made of? What lies beyond it? Was there a time before the Big Bang? Could space have unseen dimensions? In this book, physicist and science writer Paul Halpern explains what we know?and what we hope to soon find out?about our extraordinary cosmos. Explains what we know about the Big Bang, the accelerating universe, dark energy, dark flow, and dark matter to examine some of the theories about the content of the universe and why its edge is getting farther away from us faster Explores the idea that the observable universe could be a hologram and that everything that happens within it might be written on its edge Written by physicist and popular science writer Paul Halpern, whose other books include Collider: The Search for the World's Smallest Particles, and What's Science Ever Done For Us: What the Simpsons Can Teach Us About Physics, Robots, Life, and the Universe

Quanta, Galactic Walls, The Cycle of Time, Accross the Event Horizon

Book Description

Quantum gravity (QG) reduces the infinite number of classical transformations to the finite number of their generators. As a Dirac algebra, they form the basis of a U(2,2) of 4x4=16 pairs of 4 discrete types of quanta. Einstein's General Theory of Relativity (GR) is a defective application of its conformal subgroup SO(2,4). The experiment identifies its CPT extension to a U(4,4) of a complex Lie algebra as a correct description of our universe in the large and the dynamics of quantised particles in the small. Black holes are free of singularities, swallow energy-momentum, and return spacetime. Pseudo-unitarity is the engine of time. Forces prove the "Theory of Everything" (ToE) to be an 8-fold degeneracy of QG, which, like GR, is fully geometrizable. It describes the world of elementary particles with their non-valence structures and flavours, dark energy, dark matter, and the filaments and voids of Galactic Walls. Weak interactions do not break any conservation law. Due to 8x8=2**6, the ToE provides exactly 6 Goldstone particles with spins 2, 1, and 1/2: graviton, photon, 3 left-handed neutrinos, a sterile meson. The graviton separates input from output; as a simulation effect of Young tableaux, antimatter is largely suppressed. QG and ToE attribute all physics solely to the occupation numbers of the ToE quantum types and to our current position in our universe. This way, ToE allows to derive the numerical particle spectrum including masses by theory. According to Bell's superdeterminism, our universe is invariant; there is no free will. Dynamics compares fixed observer positions and identifies local variation as "motion".

To Measure the Sky

Book Description

The second edition of this popular text provides undergraduates with a quantitative yet accessible introduction to the physical principles underlying the collection and analysis of observational data in contemporary optical and infrared astronomy. The text clearly links recent developments in ground- and space-based telescopes, observatory and instrument design, adaptive optics, and detector technologies to the more modest telescopes and detectors that students may use themselves. Beginning with reviews of the most relevant physical concepts and an introduction to elementary statistics, students are given the firm theoretical foundation they need. New topics, including an expanded treatment of spectroscopy, Gaia, the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope, and photometry at large redshifts bring the text up to date. Historical development of topics and quotations emphasize that astronomy is both a scientific and a human endeavour, while extensive end-of-chapter exercises facilitate the students' practical learning experience.

Galactic Force

Book Description

To save Greeta, Sparks must risk Reyes’ life. In just a few hours, the Ringdell Group will execute Greeta. Sparks is the only one who can save her. To do so, she must return to Stargart and leave Reyes and Faz Went to battle it out on Flanterian with the deadly Piltred. She’ll also be returning to the packed planet with one of the largest bounties in the galaxy on her head. If anyone gets wind of who she is, she’ll be dead in seconds. But were it not for Sparks, Greeta wouldn’t be in this situation. So, whatever the risks, she has to help. Will Sparks be able to find Greeta without revealing herself? Will she survive another visit to the ever-hostile Stargart? And in her absence, will Reyes and Faz Went survive against the deadly Piltred? Galactic Force is the third book in a series of space opera thrillers, where every page crackles with high-stakes action and interstellar intrigue.

Decoding the Message of the Pulsars

Book Description

Paul LaViolette's 25 years of research into the precisely timed radio pulses from extraterrestrial sources known as pulsars shows that they are distributed in the sky in a nonrandom fashion, often marking key galactic locations, and that their signals are of intelligent origin, warning about a past galactic core explosion that could recur in the near future.
