Excerpt from General Catalogue, 1850 to 1900: Together With the Historical Discourse Delivered as a Part of the Semi-Centennial Exercises, May the Ninth, 1900 The Board of Trustees of the New York Baptist Union for Ministerial Education at its annual meeting in May, 1909, authorized the undersigned committee to prepare and publish this fifth edition of the General Cata logue. Previous editions appeared in 1869, 1876, 1889 and 1900. This issue, like the former one, includes the names of all officers of the New York Baptist Union for Ministerial Education and of all officers and members of the Board of Trustees. It also aims to furnish, with reference to all persons who have been members of the Faculty and Stu dents of the Seminary, trustworthy information respecting the time and place of their birth, their collegiate and theological studies, their public services, and in cases that may require it, of their death. The attempt has been made to give all honorary degrees above that of M. A. With the dates and sources, and a list of published works. When the college degree is not given it is assumed to be B. A.
