It will be easily observed that, notwithstanding long-continued, laborious, painstaking and some what expensive correspondence, and tours conducted in order to secure the facts, there yet remains much that is mere conjecture, as, for instance, the origin of our ancestor, John Taylor, and that several entire branches starting at Hadley have been lost in the quick-sands Of time.
