Excerpt from Journal of the Twenty-Ninth Annual Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church, in the Diocese of Illinois: Held in the Cathedral, Chicago, Sept; 12th, 13th, and 14th, 1866 The Convention Sermon was preached by the Rev. John W. Mccullough, D. D., from the Acts of the Apostles, first chapter and third verse, on the Church and her Ministry. The Rev. Samuel chase, D. D., then proceeded with the Holy Communion, consecrating the elements, and administering them to the Clergy, Lay Delegates and Congregation present.
