Gerhart Koffroth was born 30 May 1707 in Kaffroth, Germany. He left for America in 1731. In 1735, he married Maria Barbara Beck (1718-1761). He died 18 February 1796 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Permission granted 27 Jul 2000, Contract #7300-041682. IGP.

The Reeser Family History


Book Description

John Reeser was born about 1730 to Swiss parents living in exile from their native land. He spent his early years in France. He came to America in 1751 arriving at the port of Philadelphia. By 1757 he was living in Derry Twp., Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania. Reeser home- stead is located in Conewago Twp. (prior to 1850 Derry Twp.), Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania. Descendants live mainly in Pennsylvania. Members of this family are mennonites. Includes Ohio Rissers and other Reeser/Risser/Reesor immigrants that came to Colonial Pennsylvania from Germany between 1727-1753 and who settled mainly in Illinois and Missouri.

Jan Jansen Turelure was born in about 1620 probably in Steenbergen, Holland. He married Jenneke Joris. Descendant, Adrian Turelure (1826-1890), son of Jacob Turelure (1801-1869) and Maria Knape, was born in Noordgouwe, Zeeland, Netherlands. He emigrated in 1854 and settled in Ohio. He married Pieternella DeRoo (1831-1880), 22 March 1855 in Cincinnati, Ohio. They had seven children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Netherlands and Ohio.
