In British Columbia, most owners of manufactured homes are renters as well, because they lease the pads where their homes are located. This handbook is a guide for participants in Local Park Committees, which provide a forum for tenants and landlords to present their points of view and discuss and resolve landlord/tenant issues at manufactured home parks. The main function of the Committees is to plan and resolve issues before they become disputes. The handbook includes information on establishing a committee, dispute resolution using principled communication, arriving at solutions via brainstorming, the role of a dispute resolution committee, tenancy agreements, and park rules. The handbook ends with questions and answers regarding the issues covered. The appendix contains relevant sections of the Residential Tenancy Act Regulation.
