It is a large, rapid growing sort, being ready for the table or market in about 65 days, with globular shaped roots of attractive appearance. Flesh pure white, fine grained and tender, and is the best flavored of all Turnips, raw or cooked. The skin is white, with a purple or dark red top. This sort keeps well for so early a variety and is one of the best for the kitchen garden or for market use.
