Northwest Regional Assessment Study for Solar Electric Options in the Period 1980-2000: Draft Final Report

Book Description

This is a report of work performed under Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) Subcontract No. XP-9-8050-1 for the Department of Energy's Contract No.EG-77-C-01-4042 to SERI for the Regional Assessment Study - Northwest Region. The study was conducted by JBF Scientific Corporation with the assistance of a subcontractor, CH2M Hill (Portland, OR and Bellevue, WA offices), who assisted in developing the regional user inputs. The helpfulness of several regional organizations who contributed to the study is also appreciated. Several utilities, which are mentioned throughout the report, provided information for the economic analyses. Also, many individuals and organizations participated in workshops and seminars to provide regional perspective on non-technical issues affecting acceptance of solar electric technologies. The project was monitored by Dr. Robert Witholder, Solar Energy Research Institute, Technical Project Officer.
