Community colleges, with more than forty percent of all undergraduate students in the United States, play a valuable role in the American educational system. Their libraries and media centers, or learning resources programs (LRPs), have a particular set of issues and concerns that have not been adequately addressed by the traditional literature on academic libraries. This work is an introduction to the administration of LRPs, placing special emphasis on the nature of the programs, services, and goals of LRPs and the differences between them and other academic libraries.
