Poems from My Storms

Book Description

This is a book about healing, forgiving and reaching out to others. In this book I try to be as transparent as possible. Over the years I've learned that anything that I've allowed to remain hidden has power over me. Only through revealing and then dealing with the pain will healing be allowed to take place. The Bible says in Revelation 12:11 " and they overcame him, by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony". God did not give me a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. I can't fully serve God and help His people if I'm afraid of what may be said or thought of me. I am a servant, my whole life's goal is to please my Savior. God saved me from depression, suicidal thoughts and many other destructive behaviors, I'm not foolish enough to think that I could ever repay Him. What can I give Him that He hasn't already given me? I will spend the rest of my life laboring in His fields, spreading the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, proclaiming God's unfailing love for All of His children. Perfect love casts out fear, my love for God won't allow me to be afraid. I can stroll fearlessly through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil because He is with me His rod and His staff comfort me. I am not, nor will I ever be ashamed of anything I've gone through. The things that were designed to break me actually shaped me into the woman I am today.
