This report discusses the constant succession of social, economic, and political changes that result in problems for metropolitan areas in Michigan. Blight and decay in city centers, inadequate water supply in the suburbs, tax inequalities, and governmental conflicts are some of the problems documented in this work. In this report, an attempt is being made to examine metropolitan problems in the light of a series of probable causal relationships which are tentatively identified.
