Documents, photos, and other papers, collected by the heirs of Saint-Gaudens and others, as well as the contents of his personal library (books, periodicals, sheet music, etc.); notes relating to his studio, the Augustus Saint-Gaudens Memorial (an organization founded at his death dedicated to preserve the family home as an historic site (donated to the U.S. National Park Service in 1965)), and members of the Saint-Gaudens family, including brother Louis, Louis's wife Annetta (Johnson) Saint-Gaudens, and their son, Paul Saint-Gaudens; the D.C. Ward collection of glass plate negatives (ca. 900 items), relating to the sculptor and his work; photographs and albums of his studio, work in progress, and assistants; extensive documentation of "Masque of the Golden Bowl" and "Bird Masque", two plays produced in Cornish, N.H., written by Percy MacKaye and Louis Shipman, with music by Arthur Whiting; and information concerning the Cornish Colony of artists.
