Strike One; You’Re Out

Book Description

This book is written basically for Christians. The unsaved will not know these scriptures and stories I refer to. But even they can see them, and get curious enough to accept Christ. There are scriptures especially in Revelation that even Christians have never heard before. Ask yourself why you were never taught these things in church? Christians must start a personal and serious Bible study on their own. The Lord will guide if you will use what He shows you for His work. He doesn’t waste knowledge on people who will not use it. “Cast not thy pearls among the swine”. I pray this book either out of conviction, interest or fear, makes you really get into the Bible. Then re-think seriously what you have been taught while we still have time. “If the blind lead the blind BOTH fall into the ditch”. My punishment [and all Teachers] will be much worse if I, or they mislead you. We go to the Lake of Fire.

For It's One, Two, Three, Four Strikes You're Out at the Owners' Ball Game

Book Description

Many assume incorrectly that confrontations between baseball's players and management began in the 1960s when the Major League Baseball Players Association started showing signs of becoming a union to be reckoned with. (The tensions of the 1960s prompted the owners to form the Player Relations Committee to deal with them and in February 1968, the two groups negotiated the game's first Basic Agreement.) The struggles between players and management to gain the upper hand did not, however, start there--the two groups have had numerous clashes since baseball began (as well as since the 1968 agreement). There have been various periods of conflict and peace throughout the century and before. This work traces the history of the relationship between players and management from baseball's early years to the new challenges and developing tensions that led to spring training lockouts instigated by the owners and to player strikes in 1972, 1981, 1985, and 1994. An important agreement in 1996 brought labor peace once again. The future of player-management relations is also covered.

Strike One!

Book Description

Fifth grader Billy Carmichael is very popular, a great student and a star baseball player. He is looking forward to his last few weeks in elementary school, and can hardly wait until the end-of-term school picnic, followed by the biggest baseball game of the year. Before all this can happen, however, Billy must deal with the escapades of his best friend, Jacob Riley. Jacob is another popular boy at school, but also a bully. Billy is able to accept most of Jacob's behavior, but he constantly struggles with the way Jacob treats Timmy Watkins, a quiet, overweight new kid at school. Jacob calls Timmy fat boy and embarrasses him in front of the rest of the kids. Jacob takes advantage of every opportunity to harass Timmy, beginning with pushing him off the school bus. He doesn't stop there, however, finding all sorts of occasions to make Timmy the subject of his ridicule. All of these events upset Billy, and even affect his ability to play baseball. Rather than confronting Jacob or befriending Timmy, he chooses to ignore it. Billy does, though, turn to his father to discuss his feelings. Strike One! shows what happens when the tables are turned, and the bully needs help from the victim. About the Author: Andrea Prostko hopes to encourage young boys to read. She lives with her family in suburban Detroit and is working on her next book. Publisher's Web site: http: //www.strategicpublishinggroup.com/title/StrikeOne.htm

Three Strikes, You're Out, USA!

Book Description

Our book cover was created in partnership with Beam Team Design, Argyle, Texas. Mr. Alan Beam took the vision this messenger was given and created a vivid graphic using an empty baseball stadium and a sunrise to visually share the difference between light and darkness. The red stitches are used to wrap the white leather around the baseball as a cover. The covering God gave to the USA and the World, is Jesus, The Son of God. The stadium represents the darkness, which has and continues to wrap around the USA and the rest of the world. Right is wrong; wrong is right. The sunrise represents the Light of the World which is God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. Currently, in our contemporary world, much is discussed about climate change and how the world will come to an end in the next ten to twelve years. We do not have a climate change looming large over the earth; we have a lack of morality issue, which is divided into three distinct groups: moral, amoral, and immoral. The very real concern for the USA, or any other nation, is choosing immorality and Satan over the Law God gave us, which, Jesus fulfilled. We The People of the USA are in the last innings with bases loaded and a full count. There are two potential outcomes, and only two...

Poetry for Love and Life

Book Description

Star of Love Gazing at the skies one night I saw a far and distant light Twinkling as though to wink at me A sky of stars, but one I see. Thru the skies with stars so bright It was that star, that dim dim light Thru foggy nights, its light shined thru Brighter, brighter, and brighter it grew Then one night I found that star Thru years of searching, here you are And now throughout eternity That star will always be with me. You lay and watch the stars above And you may find your star of love It may take time, it may be dim You find that star its love you win.
