Lilly Edmonds has her work cut out for her as she finds herself protecting more than the werewolf Paul. On a visit to her old friend, Baxter, she finds that the undead have risen against him and taken him as a slave. Now her friends and she must find out the who and why of Baxter’s problems before he grows a pair of fangs. Their search leads them across the city and into the nightlife of the Underground where the living dead have lively parties. The trail grows as hot and cold as the zombie officer they discover, a man of impeccable duty but with the reporter Pippin on his tail. Together they find trouble and a deeper, more terrible secret than they could have imagined. It’s a secret that could expose the world to more than just blackmail, but to a vampiric hunger that won’t be stopped, sunrise or no sunrise. Jake Blaine is an American studying abroad in Bangkok, Thailand. When he notices beautiful Mischa Lemnova from across the lobby, he is instantly drawn to the coy and mysterious woman. As Jake chases after the woman of his dreams, he explores the city and nightlife with a group of international students from around the world as they all search for their own place in the sun. This pseudo-memoir of youth and love set against the colorful and provocative backdrop of Bangkok proves that it’s not always about the destination, but the connections and encounters we experience along the way.

Throughout his life, Walt Whitman continually revised and re-released Leaves of Grass. He added and deleted words, emended lines, divided poems, dropped and created titles, and shifted the order of poems. Leaves of Grass: A Textual Variorum of the Printed Poems includes all the variants that Whitman ever published, from the collection’s first appearance in 1855 through the posthumous “Old Age Echoes” annex printed in 1897. Each edition was unique, with its own character and emphasis, and the Textual Variorum enables scholars to follow the development of both the individual poems and the work as a whole. Volume I contains introductory material, including a chronology of the poems and a summary of all the editions and annexes, along with the poems from 1855 and 1856. Volume II includes the poems from 1860 through 1867, including the first appearance of “When Lilacs Last in the Door-Yard Bloom’d” and “O Captain! my Captain!” Volume III features the poems 1870–1891, plus the “Old Ages Annex” and an index to the three-volume set.
