"God's Grand Plan of the Ages" captures the highlights of the more comprehensive book The Divine Plan of the Ages. Though brief in nature, this 96-page booklet shares a satisfying explanation of age-old questions: Why does a God of love permit the evil we see in the world? Why are there tsunamis and earthquakes that kill thousands—and wars that kill millions? Why must we experience pain, heartache and finally death? When will God's Kingdom come and His will be "done on earth as it is in heaven?" "God's Grand Plan of the Ages" also covers the signs of the "Time of the End" prophecied in the book of Daniel (Daniel 12:1-4). Daniel's predicition that knowledge would be increased is happening before our very eyes as we see the Brain Age coming in at an unprecedented rate. Though technology has been a blessing in many ways, man's selfishness and greed is also leading the world to an ever increasing "time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation." What a comfort to know, that this trouble is a prophetic sign indicating that we are on the brink of the "Golden Age" that mankind has longed for since the dawn of history! God's Kingdom will be more wonderful, more glorious, more all encompassing, than all the dreams of philosophers, poets and sages. There will be a world of peace (Psalm 46:9) The heal ing of all the defects of humanity (Isa iah 35:5,6) Moral integrity will be planted in every heart (Jeremiah 31:33) All the dead of past ages will be raised to life again (1 Cor. 15:22) Sorrow, pain, tears and death itself will cease (Revelation 21:4) "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him" (1 Corinthians 2:9) We hope you will receive a blessing from reading this booklet. We also recommend reading The Divine Plan of the Ages, available FREE on a DVD offered on the back of the booklet. It is but the first book in a series of six that covers every major doctrine of the Bible as a topical study with a harmony that is unprecedented in Christian literature. This six-volume set is also available FREE on the DVD—or at cost, in a hard bound edition.

The first five books of the Old Testament were written centuries before the birth of Jesus. Yet they intricately involve him. Here Vern S. Poythress explores Genesis through Deuteronomy, demonstrating how the sacrifices and traditions of the Hebrews graphically foreshadow Christ's relationship with his people. Dr. Poythress also explains how the penalties of the law prefigure the destruction of sin and guilt through Jesus. -- Publisher's statement

In "THE CROSS AND ITS SHADOW," the type and the antitype are placed side by side, with the hope that the reader may thus become better acquainted with the Saviour. It is not the intention of the author of this work to attack any error that may have been taught in regard to the service of the sanctuary, or to arouse any controversy, but simply to present the truth in its clearness. This is a reprint of an important early Advent book, which explains the sanctuary and its services. - SECTION I. THE SANCTUARY. SECTION II. FURNITURE OF THE SANCTUARY. SECTION III. THE PRIESTHOOD. SECTION IV. SPRINGTIME ANNUAL FEASTS. SECTION V. VARIOUS OFFERINGS. SECTION VI. SERVICES OF THE SANCTUARY. SECTION VII. THE AUTUMNAL ANNUAL FEASTS. SECTION VIII. LEVITICAL LAWS AND CEREMONIES. This historic book may have numerous typos and missing text. Purchasers can usually download a free scanned copy of the original book (without typos) from the publisher. Not indexed. Not illustrated. 1899 edition. Excerpt: ... CHAPTER IV. THE GREAT "DAY OF ATONEMENT." LEVITICUS 16:3-33. The Oedee Of The Type And Its Antitypical Significations.--The Bullock. --The Peiest.--The Enteance Of The Holies With The Blood.--The InCense, The Sweet Odoe, And The Stench.--Enteeing The Most Holy.-- The Loed's Goat.--The Scapegoat.--T.he Blessing Of The People. THE Day of Atonement as a type should be considered -*. as separate from and yet a part (r)f and related to other Tabernacle types. Indeed, these types are each separate piftures, so to speak; each has its own subject and teaches its own lessons, and yet all are in agreement--parts of one gallery, and harmonious as the work of one great Artist. In all of them we are to look first for the Head and then for his body, the under priests, the Church. To understand the significance of the Day of Atonement and its work, we must realize that while our Lord Jesus personally is the Chief Priest to the under priesthood, the Gospel Church, "his body," yet in the more full and complete sense he is the Head and we are the members of the body of the world's High Priest. Just so Aaron was chief over his under priesthood, while really in its general and proper sense, and representing the under priests, he was ordained to minister as High Priest "for all the people" of Israel, --the typical representatives of all humanity, desirous of having atonement made for their sins and to return to divine favor and obedience. 4 T 49 As the consecrating of the antitypical priesthood includes all the members of the body, and requires all of the Gospel age to complete it, so also with the sin-offering, or the sacrifice of atonement: it commenced with the Head, and we, the members of his body, fill up the measure of the sufferings of Christ which.

Algernon James Pollock's classic volume is an exposition of "types" - people, places, objects, events, offices, activities and institutions - connected with the Tabernacle, the Priesthood, the Offerings and the Feasts (particularly as described in the first five books of the Old Testament) which foreshadow their corresponding New Testament "antitypes" - most particularly Christ Himself. The author wrote in a postscript to the first edition: "The reward of this modest volume will be if it whets the appetite of the reader, leading him to desire to know more of these wondrous subjects. The theme is delightful indeed as it leads the heart into contact with Christ, subduing it by a deepening sense of the meaning of the death of Christ, leading out at the same time the affections of the heart to Him to Whom the believer owes everything for time and eternity." Elsewhere he once wrote: "We appeal to our readers, especially young men and women, to give the Bible a fair trial. Read it, study it, and seek earnestly the truth." The publishers commend this book to you as an aid to such study, confident that as you read, your appreciation will grow of the wonder of the One who is indeed the Tabernacle's true Theme, and is Himself the Truth.
