Certified Dahlias, 1926 (Classic Reprint)

Book Description

Excerpt from Certified Dahlias, 1926 In this, my Annual Catalog, I wish to thank my many customers and friends, for their many kind letters of appreciation, both for the varieties of Dahlias I have introduced, and for the many kind words they have expressed about my little book on the culture of the Dahlia recently published. My list of varieties is not so large as many others, but it embraces what I consider to be some of the best varieties that we have today. I discard many varieties each year, no matter how expensive they may be. If I do not consider them worthy, I do not try to pass them on to my customers. I grow many more varieties than those I have listed, as I am only listing those that I have a sufficient stock of to warrant this. All of my own introductions have been certified by The American Dahlia Society, and I have made it a rule not to introduce any variety that fails to win a certificate.
