Book Description
Through Jesus, as worshippers, we always bring the fragrance of God with us wherever we go. Aaron's sons did not understand what they were doing fully. They did not know that they were only a type of something far better to come. As we do the work of the apothecary and make sweet incense, we will see change come in every area of our lives, not because we plead but because we praise, not because we beg but because we bow, not because we are powerful, but because He (God) is All Power. This work of the apothecary, the perfumer, the chemist, the holy pharmacist, IS the blending of stacte, onycha, galbanum, sweet cinnamon, sweet calamus, myrrh, cassia, olive oil, and frankincense -- the gums and spices broken from trees, beaten very fine and blended for oils for anointing and for the act of burning on the Incense Altar for sweet fragrance. The total picture speaks of the preciousness of Christ's mediations, wooing, invitation, and beaconing of our praise and prayer to be released before Him. Such expressions of adoration are sweet to God's nostrils. This ministry of the healer is the work of the New Covenant priesthood. We are the compounders, the druggist, the perfumers, the pharmacists of a new and better covenant who carry the responsibility of healing and wholeness for ourselves and others.
