The No Brainer Guide to the Gospel

Book Description

In this day and age, when men claim to have discovered the structure of the atom and the origin of the universe, why can’t someone explain in plain English what Jesus really said, just trying to simplify. This book is just that. It is not intended to change or convert you. It is simply written to explain in a simple way, what the Bible really says. What it means for you. The first book by Tom Mac Guinness, to share his experience of life and spiritual development with the purpose of opening the way to others to connect personally with God. A personal path towards a life of growth, well-being, joy and peace, including in the realm of business. This is not a new philosophy or religion, he just wants to reveal to others something that has transformed him, and served him, to feel comfortable in every facet this life. Tom Mac Guinness: A Life Experience "This is not about me, but about you. This is my way of sharing with the world what has been given to me. The engine that has made me travel my path and get to where I am today.Regardless of your beliefs, ideas, knowledge, education... My books seek to be a simple guide through which to ask you questions that help you be happier in all areas of your life, including business." If you are not a Christian, this book is for you. If you are a Christian, this book is for you. But if you are an entrepreneur, this book is definitely for you. Tom Mac Guinness is a successful entrepreneur born in Ireland. At the age of 20 he had a profound spiritual experience, which changed his life and he spent the 8 years as a missionary, mainly in South America. On his return to Ireland in 1979 he took over the management of the family equestrian center. The limitations of the business soon became apparent and in 1985 he founded Horseware Products to develop and manufacture blankets for horses. Since then, Horseware has grown to become the undisputed global leader in its market segment with over 700 employees worldwide and has production facilities in Ireland, Cambodia, China and the USA, producing over one million blankets each year. Over the years, Horseware and Tom have won numerous awards for business, innovation and product excellence, including 35 BETA Innovation Awards for new product development. In 2002 he was awarded The Ernst and Young Irish Industrial Entrepreneur of the Year. He has also taken the time to write 4 books: - The No Brainer Guide to the Gospel - The No Brainer Guide to the End of the World as we know it. - The No Brainer Guide to Happiness - The No Brainer Guide to business In 2021 he sold a majority stake in Horseware Products. Tom participates in many projects, but his focus now is to share the many lessons he has learned through the promotion of his books.

The Preacher’s Guide to Suicide

Book Description

This book makes the startling claim that the pulpit is the appropriate place to address suicide. In A Preacher's Guide to Suicide Johnson chisels through the rusty prison bars of cultural pretense and the oppressive myths of suicide. Using history, the social and behavioral sciences, and biblical inquiry over the centuries of varied Christian voices, Johnson demonstrates that suicide is part of the very fabric of Christian identity. And to preach suicide awareness is to preach life into the very act of dying. While grappling with the contemporary understanding of neuroscience, psychopathology, societal values, and individualism, Johnson seeks to present suicide in a hopeful light as we all approach death in those daily moments of confession, forgiveness, and prayer. Johnson hopes to provoke further conversation within the Christian community about the richness of suicide within the Scriptures and seeks to be a source of inspiration for preachers.

Sticky Faith Service Guide

Book Description

Anyone who serves teenagers today knows that more and more young people are eager to make a difference in the world. When students participate in short-term missions, service, and justice causes, parents and youth leaders hope these experiences will lead to real transformation. But research shows that our efforts don’t always stick. If we truly want short-term work to translate into long-term change, leaders and students must spend more time before, during, and after service projects preparing for and processing their experiences. The sessions in this leader’s guide will help you create experiences that stick—both for the students you take and the communities you serve. This guidebook offers a host of practical and field-tested exercises for each phase of your experience, whether it’s a half-day local service project or a two-week trip overseas. Participants will engage in hands-on experiences to gain new insights about themselves, their relationship with God, their teammates, and the world we’re called to love and serve. Each of these steps is a catalyst in helping students apply what they have learned in the field to their own lives back at home. Also included are ideas to help get parents and the whole church engaged in service together. A companion student journal is also available to boost the potential for personal application throughout the journey.
