Consecranda

Book Description

Excerpt from Consecranda: Rites and Ceremonies Observed at the Consecration of Churches, Altars, Altarstones, Chalices and Patens In order not to increase the bulk of the volume, the ceremonies and prayers which have reference to one or more objects of the same class have been brought to gether under one chapter. Thus, for example, the cere monies and prayers used at the consecration of one or of several altars are the same, except that at certain times the same ceremony is to be repeated at each altar in succession and the plural number should be used instead of the singular in the prayers. In such cases the changes have been inserted in Italics. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
