The use of such evidence is proper in its place; and in the hands of those who understand its place and its comparative value it may be used with profit to others. The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit

Book Description

Excerpt from The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit: Or, Philosophy of the Divine Operation in the Redemption of Man With this closing treatise, the series of books on the Divine wisdom, manifested in the processes of Creation and Redemption, is complete. This last book we think the most important of all; and in connection with the preceding volumes, we hope enough has been done to establish the conviction in the minds of thoughtful readers, that the Work of Creation and Redemption is a unity - one chain of Creative Progress, begun when "The Spirit of God brooded upon the face of the waters," creating formative tendencies in material things, and begetting the first life-germs in the primal universal sea, - completed when humanity was crowned by the birth of Christ, and the Divine image was begotten again in believing souls.
