'The Shores of the Adriatic' is a travel memoir of the author and painter Frederick Hamilton Jackson. In his travels, he covers the Austrian side of the Adriatic Sea. The Austrian provinces which lie along the coast are, commencing at the north, the Küstenlande, Istria, and Dalmatia. Jackson visits the different regions and gives an account of the geographical, cultural and architectural sites he saw, as well as their historical relevance. The book is an excellent description of Austria in 1906 when the book was first published.
