The Stratigraphy and Paleontology of Toronto and vicinity

Book Description

The first part of this report provides detailed descriptions, arranged taxonomically, of fossil invertebrates found in the Toronto area. The second part focuses on the fossil species (mostly Bryozoa and Pelecypoda) found in locations along the Credit River, and includes an outline of the stratigraphy of Credit River rocks. The third part describes the rocks and fossils found in the Dundas Formation (Upper Ordovician) in the Toronto area as well as those found in the Dundas Formation and the overlying Richmond Formation in the lower Credit River area. Correlations between those formations and other stratigraphic sections in Canada and the United States are also discussed.
