Fiction/GhostThis is book 2 in a series of 4 planned ghost books. They are fictional books with the story based on and built around a real ghost story I've been told. Ted, Nora, and their five-year-old daughter, Jesse, move back their hometown. The plan is for Nora and Jesse to live in an old house while overseeing the final phases of their new house being constructed. Ted will continue work four house away in New York City. The first thing Jesse sees when they reach the old house in New Milford, PA, is a child waving to her from the upstairs window. Her parents promise to prove no one is there. But there are footsteps in the night, power outages limited to that house only, and Johnny, Jesse's pretend friend, gets more and more real. Who's the lady who tucks Jesse in? Why does the rocking horse keep moving? Are there really horses and oxcarts in the street? Does the house have a mind of its own?As the family struggles to deal with their own past, they are pulled into the other, far older past, of the Boy in the Toy Room. And what is his message? Is he telling his own story or warning them of things to come?
