Book Description
The Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP), a partnership of six Federal wildland management and research organizations, was established in 1998 to provide scientific information and tools in support of fuel and fire management programs. Participating organizations include the Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Indian Affairs, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, U.S. Geological Survey, and USDA Forest Service. During Fiscal Year 2002, JFSP funded research projects, co-sponsored wildland fire workshops, published papers, organized field trips and training sessions, produced web pages and compact discs, and more. Report summarizes these activities and accomplishments.
