Workmen's Compensation Legislation in Relation to Vocational Rehabilitation

Book Description

Recent developments in compensation legislation that materially affect the administration of vocational rehabilitation in the States make it advisable that rehabilitation officials be kept informed not only as to the character of the changes that are being made in these laws but also as to the effect these changes may have on the rehabilitation program. In this bulletin no attempt is made to analyze the compensation laws of the several States in all their provisions, nor to treat them in a technical way for the consideration of administrators of compensation legislation. However, although the bulletin is addressed primarily to State rehabilitation officials, compensation officials who are interested in the vocational rehabilitation of disabled persons who come under the provisions of the compensation laws will find much therein that is suggestive of a more effective relationship between two great programs of such vital concern to the physically disabled worker.
