Warrens are traced back to 11th century in England. Humphrey Warren (1632-1673) was born in Poyton, England, son of Edward Warren and Margaret Arderne. He came to Maryland by 1657 and died in Charles County, Maryland. Descendants lived in Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri, Kentucky, Indiana, Iowa, and elsewhere.
