The volume contains in addition reprints of papers published in recent years in medical and surgical periodicals by members of our staff. We Wish to thank the publishers of the following journals for their courtesy in loaning us for this purpose the cuts for the illustrations: The American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology; The American Journal of the Medical Sciences; Annals of Surgery; The Archives of Internal Medicine; The Journal of the American Medical Association; The Journal of Metabolic Research; The Medical Record; The New York State Journal of Medicine; Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics. We also wish to thank Mrs. Pierre Washington Wildey, Whose contribution to the hospital has been used in helping to defray the expenses of this publication. The frontispiece shows the new pavilion for ward patients. It was completed in January, 1924. It is entirely fireproof and was at the time of its completion the last word in hos pital construction in this country. On the main floor is the new x ray plant with complete equipment for diagnosis and treatment. Connected With it is the new cystoscopic operating room.
