There are few schools that do not give one or more plays each year, often devoting to them much serious study. During the past few years I have received frequent letters from teachers and superintendents of schools asking me to recommend plays suitable for their purpose. It is a difficult matter to give advice in individual cases, and involves a considerable amount of work: I welcome most heartily this systematized effort to give in compact form the information needed.
