NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Celebrate all the ways love makes us who we are with this enthralling and poignant follow-up to the New York Times bestseller Every Day--now a major motion picture. David Levithan turns his New York Times bestseller Every Day on its head by flipping perspectives in this exploration of love and how it can change you. Every day is the same for Rhiannon. She has accepted her life, convinced herself that she deserves her distant, temperamental boyfriend, Justin, even established guidelines by which to live: Don’t be too needy. Avoid upsetting him. Never get your hopes up. Until the morning everything changes. Justin seems to see her, to want to be with her for the first time, and they share a perfect day—a perfect day Justin doesn’t remember the next morning. Confused, depressed, and desperate for another day as great as that one, Rhiannon starts questioning everything. Then, one day, a stranger tells her that the Justin she spent that day with, the one who made her feel like a real person . . . wasn’t Justin at all.

Australia's greatest country singer-songwriter Slim Dusty's own story, written with Joy McKean, his wife for 50 years - now updated. 'It seems I've done most things I wanted to do, but of all things, I think I most enjoy finding good songs and recording them. There are so many songs I want to record that I will be kept busy for as long as I can keep it up ... It is the people you meet along the road of life who make the travelling easier. No wonder I loved it all.' - Slim Dusty Slim Dusty was Australia's most well-loved and best known country music performer. A legend in the bush, his famous hit 'A Pub With No Beer' made him a household name in the towns and cities too. This is the story of the life that Slim Dusty and Joy McKean shared for their fifty years of marriage and touring together - their love for each other, their family and their music - and their determination to bring country music to the whole of Australia. Slim died in 2003, but throughout Australia, and around the world, people are still playing his songs and passing them on to new generations of fans. In this updated edition of the classic autobiography, Joy McKean writes about her family's commitment to honouring his memory and their work to keep his name alive. If you love today's Australian country music, this is the story of where it all started. '... just like his lyrics, the prose is perfect. Here he is talking about the early Dusty days. It's just like listening to a bright spark in the bush.' - The Age 'Slim blazed the red-dirt trail for Australian singer/songwriters, allowing us to remain unashamedly ourselves.' - Missy Higgins

The poems in Articulations are the output of a computer program that extracts linguistic features from over two million lines of public domain poetry, then traces fluid paths between the lines based on their similarities. By turns propulsive and meditative, the poems demonstrate an intuitive coherence found outside the bounds of intentional semantic constraints.

Here's a copy of Jimmy's resume taken from his YT channel, theloveman11378, no job too small or too big he won't tackle even if it kills you: Author, grave digger, prize fighter, military man, private dick, fire fighter, repo man, bank robber, hit man, singer, drummer, trapeze artist, tight rope walker, con man, ventriloquist, tango, mambo, & meringue instructor, secret agent man, midget wrestler, rapper, bass man, professional auditioner, mooner for hire, miner for gold, wheeler/dealer, organ stealer, pole dancer, cowboy, counterfeiter, American Idol wannabe, your man, and whatever else you want me to be... People ask me what do I do for a living, that would take all day but I can say I was once a king of the road, a hobo by trade, a man of the street. School, sure, school of hard knocks and I got plenty of lumps to prove it. I would hop on trains and have been from the east coast to the west coast about 25 times and I do know all the trains in between. I've been known to have sticky fingers. I pick not only locks but old stogies, you know, cigarette buds off the ground and I've done it all from pushing broom to pot washing and digging graves but I rather not talk about that cos I never heard of dumping 3 or 4 bodies into the same pit. If you see me coming step aside cos if you don't I will send you to the promise land. Hey enjoy Roger Miller he too is a hobo like me, a "King Of The Road," ciao Jimmy

This book is the first comprehensive description of the Manambu language of Papua New Guinea and is based entirely on the author's immersion fieldwork. Manambu belongs to the Ndu language family, and is spoken by about 2,500 people in five villages: Avatip, Yawabak, Malu, Apa:n, and Yambon (Yuanab) in East Sepik Province, Ambunti district. Manambu can be considered an endangered language. The Manambu language has many unusual properties. Every noun is considered masculine or feminine. Feminine gender - which is unmarked - is associated with small size and round shape, and masculine gender with elongated shape, large size, and importance. The Manambu culture is centered on ownership of personal names, and is similar to that of the Iatmul, described by Gregory Bateson. After an introductory account of the language and its speakers, Professor Aikhenvald devotes chapters to phonology, grammatical relations, word classes, gender, semantics, number, case, possession, derivation and compounding, pronouns, morphohology, verbs, mood and modality, negation, clause structure, pragmatics, discourse, semantics, the lexicon, current directions of change, and genetic relationship to other languages. The description is presented in a clear style in a framework that will be comprehensible to all linguists and linguistically oriented anthropologists.
