Mentions letters that he transcribed for Professor Dowden and Dowden's bout of influenza. Dowden also tells Lewis to mention that Southey's copy of Lyrical Ballads 1798 in the British Museum contains not only the Nightingale but the canceled Lewis. A second edition of this reprint of Lyrical Ballads was called for and he mentions the above fact in the preface. Lewis also mentions Buxton Forman's first volume of his Aldine edition of Shelley; D.G. Rossetti, and Joseph Skipsey.
