The precious and all-powerful Holy Spirit is a person. While not human, He has a will, speaks to believers, and yearns for personal relationships. He is God and is living inside every believer of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit also desires to fellowship, comfort, and encourage believers. The truth is that God is communicating in many ways every day; most people don't realize it is God speaking by the Holy Spirit. God desires that we hear His voice. He is always with us, desiring to direct, support, and assist us. No amount of human effort or gritty determination can create or grow spiritual fruit, but the Holy Spirit's impact in a yielded heart can supernaturally perform miracles.
