In 1913 the Society made an appropriation for the publication of same. The object of this publication is to permanently, and as nearly authentically as possible, place on record the work accomplished by the men who were pioneers in the organization and those who have been elevated to the presidency, the highest honor in the gift of the Society, and help, also, to promote the cause, by gathering statistics by others for record, and in time allow for some competent person of the future to write a concise history of the dental profession of the world so that future generations may know what has been achieved by these men.
