Catalogue of important old English and Scottish silver, fine jewellery, &c. the property of the late Mrs. Hamilton Ogilvy of Biel and Archefield, East Lothian, and now sold by order of the legatee, Gilbert Ogilvy, esq., of Winton Castle, Pencaitland, East Lothian, including a massive silver-gilt centrepiece, 1690-1750, a fine covered tankard, 1708, a cake basket, a salver, two circular dishes, and a coffee pot, by Paul Lamerie, a remarkable wine fountain, 1703, a magnificient Monteith bowl, 1699, a pair of candlestiks, a five-bottle-cruet, a cake basket, and a punch bowl, all by John Kincaid, of Edinburgh, 1735-46, foreign silver including a pair of Copenhagen covered tankards, 1663, etc., many of the pieces bear the arms of Halmiton, Manners, Nishet, Ogilvy or Dundas, with a rope of 122 Oriental pearls of fine lustre, an important sapphire ans diamond suite, a very fine latin cross pendant, set with eleven large brillants, a lozenge-shaped pendant, set with sixteen fine Oriental pearls, and other notable jewellery, also Irish silver, the property of James Wheeler, esq., a very fine Charles II salver, the property of a Baronet: miniatures, sheffield plate, etc
