Sixteen teachers and parents have documented, in words, illustrations and photographs, their revaluations and new understandings about how the preschool/Year 1 child thinks, and the learning strategies that each naturally applies. In this united documentary, the boundaries between school learning and home learning are broken down, and the school curriculum is understood as valuing and extending the same learning processes which the child began in the home during preschool age. Under particular revaluation are the traditional views of literacy and numeracy development, and the involvement of parents in school material.
