Then through her great-grandfathers obituary in Davenport, Iowa, she was able to place the Millers/Moellers in Schoenberg, Schleswig-Holstein. The Hansens and the Carstensens were just as influential as the Carstensens were the "Kings Royal Forest Rangers." Enjoy the journey as you learn how they came to Davenport, Iowa from Schoenberg on the edge of the Baltic Sea in Germany (where they were fishermen) and the Alps of Switzerland (where they were of Jewish faith) to the small village of Cordova, on the banks of the muddy Mississippi after the Civil War.
