Johann Michael Brecht (1706-1794) emigrated in 1726 from the Palatinate of Germany to Germantown, Pennsylvania, and married Margareta Simone in 1728. Henry Bright, Sr. (1760-1856), his grandson, moved from Pennsylvania to Lincoln County, Virginia (later Kentucky), and married Elizabeth Pope in 1785. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky, West Virginia, Missouri, Arkansas, Indiana and elsewhere. Includes ancestry in Germany to the early 1600s.
