In prayer it is desirable for all to kneel, if possible. The Sermon may be closed with the Gloria Patri, or with some other ascription of praise. Amen by the Choir and Congregation. The reading of one or two Scripture Sentences just before, or during the Offertory, will help to make the Offertory more distinctly what it ought to be - a part of the service, an act of worship. After the Benediction, it is recommended that the Congregation reverently pause a short time before leaving their places. Let all the people say Amen. The Responses may be either said or sung.
