As multisited research has become mainstream in anthropology, collaboration has gained new relevance and traction as a critical infrastructure of both fieldwork and theory, enabling more ambitious research designs, forms of communication, and analysis. Collaborative Anthropology Today is the outcome of a 2017 workshop held at the Center for Ethnography, University of California, Irvine. This book is the latest in a trilogy that includes Fieldwork Is Not What It Used to Be and Theory Can Be More Than It Used to Be. Dominic Boyer and George E. Marcus assemble several notable ventures in collaborative anthropology and put them in dialogue with one another as a way of exploring the recent surge of interest in creating new kinds of ethnographic and theoretical partnerships, especially in the domains of art, media, and information. Contributors highlight projects in which collaboration has generated new possibilities of expression and conceptualizations of anthropological research, as well as prototypes that may be of use to others contemplating their own experimental collaborative ventures.

She has other things to keep her busy, like saving the floundering restaurant where she works, and consequently securing the promotion that’s been dangled in front of her. William says he can respect Stacy’s boundaries. In Ocean Sands recovering after a battle of his own, he’s under strict orders to rest and recover. Spending a few weeks helping an old friend is just the distraction he needs. Dominic Savio was born April 2, 1842, to a humble Italian family. From a young age, Dominic exhibited an unusual love for God. He was even allowed to make his First Holy Communion at seven rather than the normal age of twelve. However, we might know very little about his life if not for his mentor, St. John Bosco, who accepted Dominic into his school, the "Oratory of St. Francis de Sales," and who later wrote his biography. At the school, Dominic flourished intellectually and spiritually. Sadly, his health was fragile, and at the age of fifteen, on March 9, 1857, he died. He left behind an example of a happy, holy life. He also, indirectly, contributed to the creation of St. John Bosco's congregation of Salesians, which still exists worldwide today. Nine months before he died, Dominic formed the "Society of Mary Immaculate," through which he and the other members dedicated themselves to Christ and His Blessed Mother. Except for Dominic, all of the founding members became the first Salesian priests. This paper doll set highlights moments in Dominic's childhood as he serves at Mass, makes his First Holy Communion, visits the Blessed Sacrament, builds a Marian altar, studies, plays with his friends, and works hard to grow in holiness. This set includes 1 Saint Dominic doll (9" tall), 11 costumes, and over 40 accessories. This book was published through Amazon KDP. The paper weight is slightly thicker than ordinary printer paper. The paper weight is the same for both doll/s and costume/s. The artist recommends backing the doll/s with cardstock if a thicker doll is desired (the doll and costumes function perfectly without the added thickness, however).

Lucas, the garrulous bishop of Tuy, included the thaumaturgy of Saint Dominic of Silos as one of the glories of Spain in his mid-thirteenth-century account of the Peninsula's history. This study examines the rise to prominence of one of the most important of saints' cults in Medieval Spain and its development throughout the Middle Ages. It interrogates neglected texts such as the late eleventh-century Vita Dominici Exiliensis and the late thirteenth-century Miraculos romancados (as well as artistic representations and works written outside Silos), and places the more widely known Vida de Santo Domingo by Gonzalo de Berceo (c. 1260) in a new light by firmly fixing its presentation of the saint within the development of the cult. Dominic's veneration became centred upon his role in freeing captives, and a study of this phenomenon provides a focus on the frontier and its settlers through their devotion to the saint, as well as illuminating their view of their Muslim adversaries. This is not the only centre of interest in the book, and a variety of approaches are employed to draw as round a picture as possible of the functioning of this saint's cult, from analysis of the manuscript traditions of the various works discussed to a consideration of the anthropology of Silos as a pilgrimage centre. All quotations are given in both Latin or Romance with an English translation.
