Book Description
This book reminds the believer, the non-believer, the saint and the sinner that anytime we give up on God, we give up on His promises of peace. It is in the midst of life's trials and tribulations that we are awakened to the unmistakable truth that God forges the best parts of our lives in the furnace of difficulties and hardships. Sadly, this generation knows little, if anything about what happened at Azusa street, the First, Second or Third Great Awakenings, the 1904-1905 Welsh Revival, the Can Ridge Revival, nor do they recognize the names of Jonathan Edwards, Dwight L. Moody, Charles H. Spurgeon or Billy Sunday. We know nothing about prayer, or the affects that prayer has had on this nation for the past 232 years. Writer and philosopher George Santayana sums it best when he said, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. Those who do not remember their past are condemned to repeat their mistakes. Those who do not read history are doomed to repeat it".
