Book Description

The collection contains printed matter, 1929-2000, created by the Edgartown Yacht Club. Annual club books and yearbooks include lists of officers, committee members, club members and yachts, as well as, the club constitution, by-laws, dues, rules and regulations. Several of the yearbooks also contain brief club histories and photomechanical illustrations. Race committee reports contain a description of the racing events and prize winners of the preceding season. Regatta brochures include event schedules, prize and trophy lists, general rules and regulations and contact information for island businesses, services, accommodation and transportation. The collection contains only a small sampling of printed materials generated over the years by this organization.
