Facts About Peat, Peat Fuel and Peat Coke

Book Description

Excerpt from Facts About Peat, Peat Fuel and Peat Coke: How to Make It and How to Use It What It Costs and What It Is Worth Years ago I operated works at Lexington, Massachusetts, for the manufacture of peat fuel, and for the perfecting of machinery for its production, in which I was successful. During that time I prepared a volume of upwards of three hundred pages, entitled "Facts about Peat" - probably the most exhaustive treatise upon the subject which has been published. It was published by Lee & Shepard, and passed through several editions, but is now out of print, the plates having been destroyed by fire. In the recent revival of interest in the peat-fuel question, which is very apparent, the demand for this book, which, of course, cannot be satisfied, has been considerable.
