Love has endured through eons of ages and will continue to the last syllable of recorded time. In writing For Love's Sake and other articles herein, the author claims no literary merit, nor indeed is a literary style even sought. The only excuse for publica tion of this little volume lies in the hope that it may fall into hands where it may do good; that after the author shall have passed into the Valley of the Shadow there may be loved ones who, glancing through these articles, will recall that their pastor and friend of yore labored zealously and untiringly for love of his fellow-man. Those labors have been confined neither to race nor to class. For, in the final analysis, there are only two kinds of people - men and women. Protestant and Catholic, Gentile and Jew - all are as one in the great melting-pot of Love. And it is the writer's proud privilege to call them brother, to counsel with them, to pray with them, to break bread with them. For, when earth's last picture is painted, and the tubes are twisted and dried, shall not the good of the earth be as one? So, with this brief introduction, the author of For Love's Sake thanks you for your kindly interest, with the sincere hope that, through the perusal of these pages, there may be at least one weary-laden soul who may be made to feel the wondrous love of a gentle Father.
